My garden is ever growing and changing. Although I am not so good at routine, I have been diligently watering my garden and flowers on a nightly basis. It is a good soul calming before bed. Who knew?!?
How can flowers not make you smile? I love the purple ones! They just bloomed and I can't get enough of them.
While shopping at Costco Ryko found a bear larger than dad! We finally gave in a loaded it in the cart thinking it would be a great bear for story time cuddles. Then he saw a y-bike that he just had to have...so we made him choose one, the bear or the bike (he already has a trike but we gave him the choice). Can you guess which one he chose?
I stayed home with Ryko on Tuesday. So first thing in the morning we went for a walk/bike. Then he helped water my flowers. :)
While we were on our walk Ryko spotted something that makes him SUPER excited. Can you guess what it was? If you guessed a BIG, yellow, school bus, then you are right.
After our walk we hung out with some of our favorite people: Ti, Si, & Vi!
Ryko and Si had their first real conversation about their respective baby and monkey.
Later that evening we played on the back patio with water. LOVE!
Ryko loves to play music & loves buttons. So, what could be better than a guitar for guitar hero...okay maybe a real kiddo guitar.
Later he settles in for some calm time with dad to look over the blue prints for the jungle gym dad and bumpa are making him.
We got Ryko some Gogurt and man is he loving it. He is even starting to eat it completely on his own (it only took a few days for him to figure it out).
Ryko and I went to the Children's Museum to do toddler and parent yoga. This was our second time and he participated so much more. But immediately as soon as it was over he said "bike." So we got our shoes on and headed to the bikes. He has never ridden the big bike with the cart behind it but he conquered it this time!
We then settled in for a quiet lunch with some music.
And then the beauty of a boy sleeping the sleep of a worn out and happy toddler.
After nap he grabbed his coloring book...
We contacted a soccer tots program about doing a trial class with Ryko and we never heard back from them confirming the trial class was all set up. However, we decided to go and see if he could still participate. Unfortunately, we got there and there was absolutely no one there! :( We had such a sad and disappointed Ryko. It was very hard for dad that Ryko was crying and sad. I think it broke his heart. So, when we got home dad gave him some extra cuddle love before nap.
Daniel and Ryko have been working on re-designing our closet. In the process we decided to paint. So I chose "isle of capri" blue. It reminds me of the ocean. I <3 it! :) I also love the experience Ryko and I had painting it together.
To conclude a great family day, we finished up with a yummy dinner at Chipotle.
